Ran knows that there is more to the story than what Lacey revealed so he approaches Rick for the missing details.  Willing to laugh it off, he notices a wedge of unease between Rick and Lacey.  Not wanting to jeopardize either relationship, he sets a plan in motion to right things.   


The author is successful at keeping the sexual tension at play throughout the story. She takes you from what is possibly every woman’s fear, and turns it into what some women secretly desire, a love of three.
