A Review of The Best Mistake

A fun, erotic novella about mistakes that turn into sexual fantasies of a ménage come to life.  A midnight “Hi, honey, I’m back” quickie stirs up longings in Lacey Billings, and Rick, her boyfriend, Ran’s cousin.   I liked getting to know Lacey. A young woman who gets home after a business trip earlier than expected, taking the initiative to surprise Ran, only to discover it is his cousin, Rick. Unable to forget the event, she confesses the mistake to Ran, omitting some of the finer details.   Ran and Rick are both professionals, more brothers than best friends, cousins who are alike in looks, age, personalities and passions. Ran knows that there is more to the story than what Lacey revealed so he approaches Rick for the missing details.  Willing to laugh it off, he notices a wedge of unease between Rick and Lacey.  Not wanting to jeopardize either relationship, he sets a plan in motion to right things.

The author is successful at keeping the sexual tension at play throughout the story. She takes you from what is possibly every woman’s fear, and turns it into what some women secretly desire, a love of three.
