Found: The Rake and the Recluse Book 2

I was sitting in my room, following my morning ritual after waking. First thing first: I check my email, and what to my wondering eyes did appear? No, not Santa, although I must have been very good at some point... I digress. Something much, much better! There, in my email in box was an ARC of Found: The Rake and the Recluse, Book Two, an Illustrated Romance by Jenn LeBlanc.  If any of you are unfamiliar with this author, I encourage you to download -or rush out and purchase- her books. But, warning, you must read them in order... Digressing? Again? Okay, okay. I'll get on with it.

Found is the second in a six book serial about time travel, propriety, circumstance, fate, romance,  family, and love. It continues on with the story where book one ended. Our hero, Lord Gideon, Tenth Duke of Roxleigh, the recluse is off to London on business. He leaves behind Francine Larrabee, his injured, mysterious houseguest who he begins to develop feelings for. We are also introduced to Gideon's younger brother, Lord Perry, a Viscount. A very charming rake.
Francine. Our heroine. A twenty first century woman who is sucked back through time and dropped into Gideon's path. left speechless after "fall" she finds not only communicating difficult, but also adjusting to a completely foreign way of life. A true heroine, she is able to adjust, but can she keep out of harm's path, again?

Mrs. LeBlanc is a skilled story teller. Not only do you become immersed in the story, the lives of the characters, but she has added another component to her tale: pictures. A photographer who brings you a step further into her world buy showing us how she visualizes it. The bad thing about this book? Having to wait for the next installment, Taken, due out January 17, 2012.
What are you waiting for?!? Don't just sit there, get your copies of Freedom and Found: The Rake and The Recluse Books One and Two. You will not be disappointed. I promise! It will be available on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and All Romance eBooks.

Lady Seductress's Ball

You are cordially invited to an erotic adventure.

Invitation to Pleasure
As the wife of the elderly Earl of March, Olivia Covington has never known the intimacies of the bedroom. Though her curiosity is piqued by the shocking whispers of society ladies, she is too wary of causing scandal to indulge in an affair. But Tristan Knightley, Earl of Newcastle, tempts her to throw off propriety.
Tristan wants Olivia for his own, and has sworn off all others until he can rid himself of the obsession. He is sure once he has a taste, he will tire of her, and can return to his rakish existence. Unable to wait to have her in his bed, he invites her for a tryst at Lady
Seductress's Ball...

I'll be honest with you, I wanted to read this book from the title alone, it sounded so, so naughty and it does not let you down. Olivia is in a loveless marriage to a much older man, but she is infatuated with Tristan, an Earl, a bachelor, a rake. On a whim she invites him to a dinner party, and I'll just say that she ended up being on the dessert menu. Neither one is able to put the forbidden encounter behind them.

I took an instant liking to Olivia. She is young and full of unexplored passions. She wants to find love. She wants to experience everything she has heard whispered about by other ladies. She wants Tristan, and who wouldn't?
He is, of course, tall, dark, built, handsome. Is  he able to satisfy his hunger for Olivia after an erotic weekend? I suppose you will just have to read Lady Seductress's Ball to find out!

A Review of The Best Mistake

A fun, erotic novella about mistakes that turn into sexual fantasies of a ménage come to life.  A midnight “Hi, honey, I’m back” quickie stirs up longings in Lacey Billings, and Rick, her boyfriend, Ran’s cousin.   I liked getting to know Lacey. A young woman who gets home after a business trip earlier than expected, taking the initiative to surprise Ran, only to discover it is his cousin, Rick. Unable to forget the event, she confesses the mistake to Ran, omitting some of the finer details.   Ran and Rick are both professionals, more brothers than best friends, cousins who are alike in looks, age, personalities and passions. Ran knows that there is more to the story than what Lacey revealed so he approaches Rick for the missing details.  Willing to laugh it off, he notices a wedge of unease between Rick and Lacey.  Not wanting to jeopardize either relationship, he sets a plan in motion to right things.

The author is successful at keeping the sexual tension at play throughout the story. She takes you from what is possibly every woman’s fear, and turns it into what some women secretly desire, a love of three.

Touch Me by Callie Croix

Touch Me by Callie Croix
Release date January 02, 2012

Arriving home on leave from his tour of duty, Army Captain Alex Montoya knows there's a beautiful woman waiting for him—his best friend's sister. She's always been off limits...until now. He fully intends to move them out of being just friends" and encourage her to release the sexual needs he senses she's buried
deep.

Tianna McIntyre is starting over after her marriage ended. Her ex-husband weakened her self-esteem and caused her to deny her true sexual desires. But being around Alex brings all her dormant fantasies to the surface, and now Tianna feels the stirrings of her secret, submissive wishes.

Determined to help repair the damage Tianna's ex did to her self-worth, Alex will use whatever means necessary to convince her they're meant for each other, including tying her down to make sure he has her full attention while he takes her to the heights of pleasure she's always dreamed of..

Touch Me is an erotic novella that piqued my interest when I read the overview. If I had to describe my "type" of man it would be strong, dark, military, dominant Alpha male, or our hero, Alex. A wounded warrior who is sent home on a two week leave to heal after being wounded while overseas. His problem is the fantasies and desires he has about his house sitter.

Tianna, our heroine is the twin sister of Alex's best friend and has been staying in his house while going through a divorce. She has dreamed about Alex taking her in his dominant way, revealing her inner submissive.

You know that they are both going to have their fantasies come  true. Lucky girl...

If you are looking for a short, good story to spend a few hours in, I can absolutely recommend Touch Me, but fair warning, it will leave you wanting...

Review of FREEDOM: The Rake And The Recluse Book One

BOOK RELEASE DAY!

FREEDOM : The Rake And The Recluse : Part One

by
5.0 of 5 stars

Francine Larrabee woke up on the wrong side of the century. She was fairly certain she went to sleep in her own comfy bed, but she doesn’t quite seem to be there now. Only adding to her problems is that she has no voice, is constantly being glowered at by a large, stunning man who is obsessed with propriety, and she is apparently betrothed to another horrid little man, determined to ruin her, and any other girls that get in his way.
How does she find herself in the past, when she couldn’t even find herself in her present? How does a self sufficient businesswoman survive in a time when women were still considered property for the whole of their lives and what is she going to do with this man who draws her to him so fiercely.

This book is a great introduction to a six book serial due to be released over the next several months. We are introduced to Francine, our accidental time traveling heroine, and Gideon, 10th Duke of Roxleigh, whose character lives with a troubled past.  Through a family theory, a little time travel, and a lot of fate? Destiny? Francine is thrown into Gideon's century and arms. We watch as their story begins to unfold as the reluctant Gideon does not want to accept the new feelings that are stirring for Francine. I really do not want to say too much here, afraid that I'll give too much of the story away, and what fun is that?

I have to tell you, though, that Ms. LeBlanc paints a  vibrant, colorful, textured scene with her words. What makes this book unique, at least to me, is that within her story are photographs that take you further into her minds eye.  This is a book that you will not want to put down once you start it; and it is enough of a tease to set you up for book two,  Found, due out in January 2012.

Thoughts about A Long Time Coming

I have always had this thing about Ireland.  It started with a book set in the country with its varying shades of green, rolling hills, dramatic scenery, legends, and MEN.  Amazing, the power of the written word, don't you agree?

When several sites suggested reading Scarlett Parrish's A Long Time Coming, promising a hot, sexy read,  I took their advice and bought it. I've got to tell you that those women know what they are talking about! Ms. Parrish has succeeded in whetting my appetite further in all things Irish man.
Ms. Parrish has woven a tale about Piper Holt, who, it would seem to me, is at a mental, emotional, and sexual turning point in her life. She believes that she knows what she wants and how to get it, but her insecurities keep derailing her. After ending a stagnate relationship, she goes in search of something more.  Piper finds it one night in a local bar, at the hands of an Irishman, Leo Carson. Leo is a great leading man: he is well written as an -at times- shy, nervous, assertive, fun bloke to be with. The sexual pull is immediate between these two, and the innuendoes that they, okay, he, volley back and forth had me smiling and laughing. Beyond that, Piper and Leo are hot together, both in and out of bed.

An excerpt from A Long Time Coming
"Shall I get us something to drink?" I asked, to have something to say.
Expressionless and wordless, he came nearer by one step, a frightening intensity in his chocolate eyes. I'd never noticed their true color before, but I'd only ever seen him outside after dark or under the artificial lights of a city centre bar.
He griped my upper arms, just below my shoulders and kept walking, forcing me back until I ended up against my front door. Even when my metallic hair clip clinked against it and I gasped, he didn't stop to ask if I was alright.
          End of excerpt.

If the winter weather has you wanting to curl up on the sofa with a mug of coffee or hot cocoa with a steamy book, A Long Time Coming is a good choice. It would be even better if your someone special is in the next room when things get too hot!
